Here's my story...
I was born in Cleveland, Tennessee. My parents were Bible School directors. Since my mom is from Canada they felt like God was calling them to move up to Saskatchewan to pastor a church. Little did we know that future relatives lived in a small town a few kilometers away. Its funny to think that I may have seen Adam at some point when I was very young. But, it could have happened.
After seven years of pastoring in Canada, my parents decided it was time to leave. We moved to North Carolina in 1994. After living there for two years my parents knew they were supposed to go back to bible school. In 1996 we headed to Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Oklahoma proved to not be the last place my family was to reside. We enjoyed our three years there. The Lord was so good to us, and I'm sure He provided for many family in many ways that I don't even know.
In the last few months of 1998 my parents began traveling up to a little town of Auburn, Nebraska. They traveled back and forth (on the weekends) for several months, dragging us along, and occasionally allowing me to stay home by myself.
In March of 1999 we finally made the move. I did NOT want to go. I liked Oklahoma. I did not want to have to make new friends and leave my old ones behind. One of the few consolations in moving was the cute, outgoing guy... I think his name was Adam... that went to the church we were going to invade.
Moving up to Nebraska ended being the thing I needed. I am amazed at the spiritual growth I encountered when we moved up. God really did some work in me, and it was definately the place I was supposed to be at that time. |
Well let us start from the beggining. OK well lets not. I was born in Beatrice Nebraska. I was then taken home to Tecumseh, Nebraska where I lived for 19 years. I was a happy energetic kid who liked to have fun. I grew up, and in the 8th grade I met God face to face and was never the same. I was a Jesus freak from then on. I got involved my the youth group at the church I was attending and got into the music team. I learned guitar and and got in the band. I was the lead singer and played rythm guitar. I played sports in high school and excelled in Football and Wrestling. My senior year was the best! I was all District first team in football and got many rewards for my ability. I had a good year. In wrestling I did even better. I was All State in wrestling and made it to the state wrestling tourney my senior year as well. I was also selected for MVP in wrestling. I had a good high school career. Lots of fun. Along the way I met this chick. She was cool. But you will have to read "How we met" to hear about all that. I graduated and worked at Auburn Consolidated Industries for a good year and then moved to Minnesotta to be involved with Steve Munds. And that is where I still am. I love my life and all that goes with it!! See my story isn't as exciting as this one next to me. I lived in the same town for 19 years.....But I am better at sports!! ha!! |

How we met...
~~Danielle: Ok. Well, I guess our story can start with my family moving up to Nebraska. We had been living in Oklahoma and I didn't want to move. But I remembered this cute guy that I saw at youth group and church and stuff, and for some reason that helped! ~~Adam: Yeah and she thought I was hot!! But for some reason I didn't even like her, well I liked her but just not like I do now or even close to. She just seemed really young to me, and I thought that I was to cool for her. So time went on and I dated many girls and had not so gopod times with them. Well then one day I was driving in the car with my friend Noah and my friend Tonia, and I sat up and said "I think I like Danielle Kibben." Well nothing went any further than me saying that, but Tonia knew that she liked me. I actually had no idea. So then like another year and a half went by and I dated and dated, and never found anyone that I really was just happy with. So it's my senior year and it's about Novemeber, and it just dawns on me that I like Danielle. So I started e-mailing her and talking to her more and more and getting to know her just as a friend, but not like real close, just basically talking to her more. Well we had this thing called quick dot, it is kinda like e-mail but it is it's own seperate thing. Well we talked on that and I hinted at dating or going out on a date. well a month went on and I still hadn't asked her yet. Finally one night on January 29th we were talking and I just told her I liked her, and she told me she liked me. Then it just kinda was a lul in the conversation. She kept hinting at me to ask her out and I still couldn't do it and finally I called my friend Rachel and she did it for me. Now that might not be exactly the way it went but thats how I remember it. She can fill you in later. Well she said yes and I said yes and it's all history from there. Now we are getting married!!!! YAHOO!!!!!!!!!!! ~~Danielle: Its funny how differently Adam and I remember things. Just to clear things up, Adam and I actually went out on a date before we were "dating." Adam was such a chicken that he had to wait for me to ask my parents if they would care if we went out before he would actually ask me (and he still didn't). So, I had to talk to my mom about it (and I was really nervous to do it because Adam hadn't actually said "Will you go out with me to (fill-in-the-blank) on (fill-in-the-blank)?" I just had to ask her what she thought about the whole deal, which was scary for me. It's pretty weird to think about how long we've dated. But, its been really fun!
